A Fascist America...How close are we?

Please take a look and read the article, I believe it is very interesting. By the way, it is not written by a left wing guy. For the right wingers, please read the whole article before posting comments, I have noticed that sometimes you do not do it that way.

A Fascist America...How close are we?

Goodness, enough reading material for a week with all the links in that article. The one leading to Atomic Scientists  makes for amazing reading in turn.

Reading some of the "backtalk" comments, something one commentor said struck me - in short, saying how come ppl of Justin's caliber are not the ones running the White House instead of the current morons?

To come across so many incredibly bright Americans and to think they are completely ignored but for a small minority of intellectuals... and in the meantime the brain-dead chimps keep revving up the fascist machine, and nearly everyone takes it lying down.

Such a shame, such a waste :-(

How fascist is America? I will share a paragraph from a blog by one who considers herself a patriotic American working for her countries good. This isn't one of the big girls that Mr. Raimondo would use as an example. She's one of the ordinary citzens like you and me. Just another blogger from Illinois, I think, doing her bit for war and insanity.

If you do not love your country then get the hell out. This country is the greatest in the world and many people die trying to get here for the freedoms we enjoy. The idea of not loving your country, despite any failings it might have, is absolute hypocracy. If you love the freedoms and the opportunities then you should love the country. Cao .

Nice eh? These are the kind of folks that support Bush. Not all Bush supporters have become fascist but enough that writers like Mr. Raimondo can put together aricles with more links than you can find time to read in a day. It's out there, it's sickening and if I lived in America I definitely would be a gun owner during these times.

whynot: or maybe they are smart to stay out of polics. unless you run as an independent candidate, you will have to vouch for not only the needs and wants of the electorate, but also that of your party, and the people who fund your campaign. it's very easy to lose yourself and the very ideas that people of Justin's caliber hold.

dianne: i think Cao has a kid in Iraq. and I think that explains a lot...

having a kid at war makes for two kinds of people - those who blame the government for sending them there, and those that desperately want to believe the children are dying for a good cause.

no prize for guessing which one I think she is.

Dianne? Isn't owning a gun the absolute antithesis of your dovish outlook over there on the lilypad?

Anna, by staying out of politics do you mean they stayed home rather than vote in November? Because I'm not sure if the election were held today that Bush wouldn't win by an even higher margin.

I think Cao has 2 sons in Iraq and because of this if she were just talking about Iraq perhaps I could make excuses for her. But, she's not and therefore she's without excuse. Somehow, I don't think her children being in Iraq turned her into a fascist.

But, I didn't mean to turn this into a discussion about Cao. She's only one of a group that seems to be growing everyday. In the beginning I was gentle and diplomatic with them thinking they would soon see how wrong they were. I learned the hard way that they are capable of anything including accusing you of sedition if you open your mouth to resist.

Kender, I owned guns my entire life in the states having been taught to shoot and hunt when I was very young. I no longer have any interest in hunting and also have yet to feel a need to own a gun here. Although the laws in France are very strict it's not impossible to own a gun as is evidenced by the amount of hunters one runs into.

Dianne, I meant not taking a more active role, not lobbying, or running for office. Staying out of "their world" if you like.

The great Dov Forbush wrote something really good  on myths the other day.

myths are strong medicine. Myths make you feel at ease with the world. So, when people could choose between believing a myth that makes them feel comfortable and believing the truth which makes one feel ill-at-ease people choose the former

This is why Bush is still President. The battle for common sense is now on a different level.. what I meant was that if right now people like Justin stood up and tried to take back the country the same way Bush took it, it won't work. Maybe writing is by far a better tool...

I think that also explains Cao's position. She wants to believe all of this. And we sort of know why. Doesn't make me feel any better about her, or people who think like her, though.

I should expect those kinds of statements out of socialists who hate america, Dianne. I'm glad you left. I have to wonder what David Yeagley would think about your position on the United States...his article, http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=17251

"Listen, Ward, real Indians Love America"

It says a lot about what kind of indian YOU are. I'd be interested in knowing what reservation you came from in Louisiana.

Thanks, kender, I appreciate your saying something when someone quotes me behind my back...I'm not sure if it's an accurate quote, but then accuracy or truth or not Dianne or Philippe's forte.

"Thanks, kender, I appreciate your saying something when someone quotes me behind my back...I'm not sure if it's an accurate quote, but then accuracy or truth or not Dianne or Philippe's forte.  "

We recognize Kender from your site, Cao, so no, I didn't regard it as 'saying it behind your back.' I laughingly said to my husband yesterday, "I wonder how long it will take Cao to show up." As for the truth, I copy all your fine words including name and date and now have quite a collection. What a hypocrite you are with all the talk of WhyNot and Dianne Maire one can find on your site. Many could testify to the verity of my words.

You know nothing about me Cao that you can verify outside of my own words and I have shared no confidences with you concerning my life. But, you continue to spread malicious lies using my real name something that I could take you to court on if I were in the states. Whatever my husband may have said would be his words and not mine. I have not told you or anyone else the story of my past or why I'm in Europe. Yet, you continue with your smears to malign my character. On the other hand I only copy/paste your words as I find them on your site and others. I do not make things up as I go in order to make a point.

I first enraged you by pointing out your words and actions were not those of the Christian you claimed to be. I stand on those words because they are true. You should stop the hypocrisy. That Bible on your site is only another tool in your bag of fascist weaponry.

“I'm not sure if it's an accurate quote, but then accuracy or truth or not Dianne or Philippe's forte.” ,

I see your slandering talents are still thriving. I guess you just can't help yourself. But I notice you are also so dumb that you don't realize what an idiot you're making out of yourself.

For instance, right here you infer that Dianne's quote is probably inacurrate or even false, even though Dianne copy/pasted it from your blog. How much more stupid can one get?

See you can't win, because unlike you, when we quote other ppl's words, we use copy/paste technique. You should try that sometimes, it's not that hard to work it out.

That would save you from dedicating an entire blog to DianneMaire, aka "Frenchie" as you put it, and making statements on matters you don't have the faintest idea about, but see quite fit to publish anyway, i.e. slander your ass off.

To remind you, here are copy/pastes from your own words:

“1. you’re afraid to live in America because you’ve maxxed out your stupidity card and went to live on the government dole

2. She’s living in France, MLF. On the US Government.

3. she’s living off the American Government to spread her vitriolic anti-American sentiments.

4. And some Americans are “pretending” to be French. On our money. Makes me want to spit.

5. Don’t think the little “fact” has been lost on me that Why Not has an area on his website showing how you can get US Government grant to live in a foreign country.”

Would you care to explain the above - something that 82 comments later you never did?

Slander + lies = Cao's speciality .

PS: CAO, we don't need your authorization to post quotes from other ppl's blogs, and that includes yours - plenty juicy fascist material there, and we'll make full use of it.
