“Republicacy” to replace “Democracy”

“I am not Democratic and
this is not Democracy!”

In a short policy update brief today, president George bush explained that one of the policy changes he planned to make during his second term would change the way we describe our government:

"It's more of a word change than anything. Democracy can't be used to describe our government anymore".

Going on, he convinces the reporters around him that it only describes less than half of the working government:

"Republicans have worked harder than those other guys to make this country a better place for them. Therefore I have reccomended that the word to be change to "Republicacy". I don't forsee any problems to change this in our society, people already know that I am no Democrat, and this government is not a Democracy!".

Going on further he adds:

"This bills will strike any notion of the word "democray" from our society, furthermore, anyone attempting to use the word will be given a one way ticket to Guantanimo Bay, and we all know what is there!".

A hushed still overcame the whole conference room as Cheney entered the room holding a crown and sceptor, and as Bush added his signature to the bill, Cheney adorned the pres-er, his Highness with the bejeweld items.

"I, from now on, will be known as the most feared and revered master of this country!".

After which all of his cabinet members filed into the room and bowed before the two leaders, bring frankensense , gold, and comic books with lots of pictures.

it took me a while to realise that that was satire. I wouldn't have put it passed Bush et al. to do that, although they wouldn't announce it.
