Conscientious Objector Launches Web Site

A 22-year-old veteran from Peaks Island, Maine who was granted conscientious objector status from the Army last November is taking to the Internet to share what he learned with others. Perry O’Brien, who served a tour in Afghanistan as an airborne medic before he was honorably discharged, on Saturday launched his online guide - Peace - Out at a Winthrop Area People for Peace breakfast at the Winthrop Congregational Church.

"The Army doesn’t make this information widely available, and many soldiers don’t even know that the option of CO (conscientious objection) is available to them," O’Brien said. "This is a comprehensive, online resource for COs. We’re already talking to three soldiers on how to avoid all the pitfalls."

that's awesome!!

yeah good call...
although the move to canada option is a safe one too...

i went through the blog and appreciate its ideals and common threads...i have it bookmarked now. i see it as a site where news can be provided truthfully and accurately for the world.

but to whoever's running this show, if you could find use for a canadian communist, you can count me in on it.

my own blog would somewhere have samples of political writing and or communist propaganda.

i'm to be reached at eclectic_koolaid@hotmail.com

have peace.

“if you could find use for a canadian communist...”.

Hey Ryan, thanks for dropping by. As you noticed, while there is a common theme among us, we are a fairly diversified bunch. I'm the red commie bastard in the joint, but none of the others claim that title.

If you'd like to submit articles, I'll put you on the guest contributors list and publish them on your behalf. If the other members like what they see, it may lead to full membership in the team.

Publishing material is nice but we are even keener on ppl participating in threads and discussions. If you feel up to the challenge, be our guest :-)
